GOOD NEIGHBOUR SCHEME

Tel 01235 765348

The Good Neighbour Scheme was started by The Independent Advice Centre in April 2009

The regular drivers for the centre already undertake small jobs for clients, and we are now in a position to extend this service to the local community.

Who Can We Help?

Lonely and Isolated

Housebound

Visually impaired

People suffering from a temporary illness

Those unable to manage their paperwork

How Can We Help?

Colecting or dropping off prescriptions

Shopping

Changing light bulbs or batteries

Gardening

Reading

Befriending

Small household repairs eg tap washers

Pet walking

Light household tasks

If we can't help, we will refer to the Advice Centre or other specialist agencies

The Future

The scheme is in its infancy so any ideas as to how it can be developed, or offers of help, are most welcome.

The aim is to reach out to the whole area and have volunteers in each locality.

So if you have a little spare time, like people and helping others, why not give us a ring on 01235 765348?

In return for offers of help, we can promise a friendly, supportive environment.

Can we help you?

If you think we can help, why not give us a ring or call in?

Ask for Helen Bailey Scheme Co-ordinator, Emma Kahlon or Wendy Watson
